Fall Giveaway – Winning Kits

And with that, the Fall Giveaway is wrapping up! I’m in the process of tabulating the winners, but in the meantime, here are the top vote-getters among the giveaway kits…

Aircraft – 1/32 Hasegawa P-47D Thunderbolt

This one was close all the way, neck-and-neck between the big Jug and Wingnut Wings’ excellent Albatros D.Va. Ultimately, it came down to a single vote!

While I don’t have this exact kit in the stash, I do have two of the big Hasegawa Jugs, and I can state with confidence that whoever wins this bad boy is in for a treat!

Armor – 1/35 Bronco Bishop 25-pdr SPG

Talk about a last-minute surge! After trailing the Panzer IV Ausf.J for most of the week, the Bishop came from behind to win! While it’s not the type of kit that can be tossed together in a week, the level of detail on display is nothing short of breathtaking!

Stay tuned for the winners!

  1. I was pretty surprised by the Bishop, myself. I figured it’d place high, but a more popular subject like the Panzer IV would walk away with it. But…I’m almost always surprised by the way these polls can break. And the Bishop is a spectacular kit. Haven’t built mine yet, but I can’t wait…the detail level is staggering. Wish I’d cracked the box before leaving the Austin show so you could’ve seen in the flesh. I’ve never encountered anything like Bronco’s recent kits…they make even the more epic among the Dragon kits look somewhat simple.

  2. Darn, both kits I voted for did not win. But hey, these are still 2 great kits.
I did have a hard time deciding between the Bishop and the Assault Sherman, but went with the Sherman.
    Looking forward to the drawing.

  3. Cool

I love building odd subjects hence the bishop was my first choice and i really hesitated on the clear T-34.

Never built a Tank but i would love to start with this one !!

I voted for the PCm spit but that jug look sweet!! PLus hasegawa make the best Jug’s from what i hear.
