Mini-Review
Trumpeter’s T-80BV is one of the most intricate armor kits I’ve ever encountered, bristling with detail, a parts count to put Dragon kits to shame, and no small degree of fussiness with the intricacy of the track assemblies and the turret ERA blocks.
For all that, it was a joy to build, with excellent fit, very little flash, and instructions that were easy to follow.
The only two gripes I would level at the kit…
First, I feel like the indy links are perhaps overkill for a subject where more than 50% of the track is completely obscured from view. This is one where well-done rubber bands would have totally sufficed.
Second, and this is a common gripe with Trumpeter armor kits, is the absolute lack of contextual information about the marking options. There is no unit, date, or location information of any kind. If Eduard and Wingnut Wings are the kings of providing context for the various markings included with their kits, Trumpeter is a serf.
HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
